Dogs

from Imbalances by Micah McCaw

/

lyrics

Getting jealous over a stolen item
Then biting the one who it was stolen from
Digging graves while the marrow is in the bones
Treating coffins like the world’s most cherished thrones

Dogs chasing our tails

Waltzing to a man screaming on the phone
Catching glimpses of these unfamiliar tones
Singing harmony with a single voice
Like a church choir who doesn't sing with joy
They don’t sing with joy

I don’t really notice anymore
It all looks the same as it did before

And so I ask you
Should we sing with joy?

Dogs chasing our tails
